The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is back in the 10th season which will be held between April 8 and May 19. The most awaited PSL 2025 Draft took place on January 13 (Monday).
Even though high-profile cricketers like Kane Williamson and David Warner were brought in by Karachi Kings, the tournament clashes with the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This could pose a huge threat to the franchises as most of the players might prefer the world’s richest franchise T20 League such as the IPL over PSL due to the lucrative pay scale.
However, New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, who went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, was the first choice of the player draft as the 2-time champions Lahore Qualandars secured his services under the platinum category to boost the batting line-up.
While teams such as Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United have tried their level best to bolster their squads in the PSL 10 draft.
Let’s find out the players from 6 different teams categorized under the Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Emerging, and Supplementary categories for the PSL 2025.

Final Opinion
To improve the availability of top-quality overseas players into the squad, the PSL lands into a risky zone by clashing with the fixtures of the IPL. At the same time, the calculated risk might yield positive outcomes by including a wide range of overseas cricketers they have recruited in the previous seasons.
Observing the list of all six teams’ squads, it is understood that a majority of New Zealanders were selected in the platinum category. It includes the names of these Kiwi players picked in the top category:
- Daryl Mitchell (by Lahore Qalandars)
- Adam Milne (by Karachi Kings)
- Finn Allen and Mark Chapman (by Quetta Gladiators)
- Michael Bracewell (by Multan Sultans)
Overall, the forthcoming PSL 10 promises to provide high-thrilling matches for all fans with the present squad of all six teams bolstered with a set of young and experienced cricketers.
